Luxury has always played a special role in travel retail, and this is celebrated in the new retail at Heathrow T2. Working closely with the brands, Rawls looked to bring out both the best of international brands yet with a feature of distinct character and sense of place. This touch of genius had to be both legible and natural for the brand. All these touches, from Paul Smiths’ paper aeroplane signage to Burberrys’ animated “sky”, make the retail experience both internationally recognisable but distinctive to Heathrow T2.
