Ashford Designer Outlet; major expansion for Rawls long-time client McArthurGlen
We were at the official opening of the Phase 2 development at Ashford Designer Outlet this week. Rawls have worked with Centre operator McArthurGlen for many years and were Retail Design Managers on the original Ashford Designer Outlet designed by Richard Rogers Partnership (now RSHP) which opened back in 2000. The Centre is an architecturally unique asset in the McArthurGlen portfolio and a hugely successful retail destination in South East England.
Rawls advised on shop-front design and signage guidelines for the new development and Design Managed the incoming tenants working side-by-side with Retail Delivery Managers Turner & Townsend.
Full height green walls and substantial landscaping within the development gives the environment an open, natural and soft green feel. The development includes exciting new tenants such as Paul Costelloe and their first stand-alone UK store, Reiss’ flagship fit-out and Armani’s new concept store.
The food offer also had a boost with high street offers such as the very colourful Comptoir Libanais and YO!’s dual offer with their To Go service.
